Autumn Meeting - Monday 16th September 2019

** 8.30am Coffee & Biscuits - Business Meeting from 9.00am**

I am aware this is an early start for a meeting and many of you are travelling some distance, myself included, however I believe the content from the speakers and the nature of some of the information necessitates this early start.

 8.30am Coffee and Biscuits on arrival

 9.00am Business Meeting commences with Captain's Welcome

 9.15am Manager's Report

 9.30am Play More Golf - an introduction to Flexible Membership and an additional revenue stream for golf clubs. Presentation from Jamie Carroll and Ian Berry

 10.15am Circle Golf Insurance - Bryan Webb and Associate will provide up to date and relevant information pertaining the golf industry and insurance policies and procedures

 10.45am England Golf - Rob Moore the Community Support Officer for Yorkshire will advise Clubs on the Safe Golf initiative, Governance and Business Planning

 11.15am Additional Speaker from England Golf or Yorkshire Union of Golf Clubs to inform members of the current situation with regards to the publicised "Independent Golfer" proposal from England Golf.

This scheme is likely to impact massively on all clubs if brought in by England Golf. All members should attend this meeting to learn more about the initiative and proposal, including potential time scale and implications to all golf clubs.

 12.15pm Light lunch and golf arrangements

 1.00pm Tee reserved for a Four Ball Better Ball Stableford Golf Competition playing of the yellow tees

 5.00pm Evening meal eating in fours as you come in - presentation of prizes once all players are in

The first is our letter to the Chairman of EG and the second is the latest "proposal" which is being put to a General Meeting of Counties on 11th September. please click on the links to view.

The Chief Executive Officer and Chairman appear intent on pressing ahead with this, even though the Chief Executive Officer is leaving in October to go and run England Hockey.
